I cannot access my computer through the Laplink Everywhere website. What can I do?

You should first verify the following: - There is an active Internet connection on the host computer. - The Laplink Everywhere host software is running on the host computer and the icon in the system tray does not have a red slash over it, i.e. it is successfully connected to our server. See FAQ 70: What do the different LapLink Everywhere icons in the system tray mean? If the icon shows a red slash over it, then right-click on the icon and select Exit. Wait approximately 30 seconds and then launch Laplink Everywhere again. If the slash remains then proceed with the remaining steps. - If you have firewall software, make sure it is configured to allow the Laplink Everywhere host application access to the Internet. - The host software is associated with the correct Laplink Everywhere username. To verify this, double-click on the Laplink Everywhere icon in the system tray and click Configure --> Users and Sharing. The username should show in parentheses next to the Me user. If it does not show a username or the username is not the correct one, then work through the steps in FAQ 60: How do I change the LapLink Everywhere Username for accessing the LapLink Everywhere Host? If all of these items have already been checked and you still cannot connect, then it is possible that you have other software interfering with our software. The best way to proceed is to cleanboot the computer. This will ensure that no other applications are interfering with our software.
