How does Laplink Gold's automatic synchronization compare to simple drag-and-drop folder copying from another computer?
 ANSWER
Drag-and-drop copying is not a very effective way to update and synchronize folders. To provide a much easier and more powerful solution Laplink Gold includes a feature called Xchange Agent that allows you to quickly establish synchronization relationships between any two folders. The Xchange Agent wizard assists you in creating the agent. It includes a preview mode so you can see which files will be updated or added. The Xchange Agent is versatile and can be teamed with Laplink's Scheduler or Microsoft's Task Scheduler. The Scheduler can run the Xchange Agent at a predetermined time without any further interaction. When running Xchange Agent will quickly find the differences between the file sets and send files in the preset directions and to save time the patented compression technology SpeedSync will make sure that only the changes in each file are sent.
