QUESTION

Can I do Variable Port Allocation?



ANSWER

For additional security, you can change the port number used for connection requests. By default Laplink uses port 1547. Follow these steps to change the port number for incoming connections through a firewall.
  1. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to Windows\TSI32\LLW.
  2. Double-click the LLW.INI file.
  3. In the [TCP/IP] section, add ListenPort=xxxx.
  4. Replace xxxx with the port number you want to use.
  5. Save and close the file.
