PCdefense - FAQ's

QUESTION

PCdefense says my serial number is invalid! What am I doing wrong?



ANSWER

There are a few reason why this may occur:
  1. You made a mistake when entering your serial number.
  2. You used an invalid e-mail address.
  3. In the case of download versions, you did not use the same e-mail address as you used when purchasing the application
  4. PCdefense is not able to establish a connection to our servers to verify your product.
When this occurs, you have two options:
  1. Cancel the request for your serial number and activation key and launch PCdefense again so it will attempt the online registration again
  2. Manually validate PCdefense (see below).
In order to manually validate PCdefense, you will first need to obtain your serial number and activation key. This was provided to you in the original e-mail from the purchase or registration. It is also available from your My Downloads page (http://www.laplink.com/mysupport/myStore.asp) once the product has been registered - if you do not already have a My Support Account, you will need to create one and register the product. Now that you have this information, you will need to contact our Sales and Customer Service line (425-952-6001) in order to complete the validation process.
